Sunny Wedding at Piedmont Park

Sommer and Sanin wed on a sunny day in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park, with a retro red bike and big yellow balloons to boot! To match the couples young, spirited personalities, Le Bonne Fleur Floral & Event Design used a cheerful blend of succulents, garden roses, dusty miller, spray roses, and scabiosa pods in the arrangements. The end results were gorgeous for an event that was more fun than ever!

As Seen on Design Sponge: DIY Leaf Rose

Browsing one of my favorite inspirational websites, Design Sponge, I came across this super creative and vibrant DIY leaf rose made of hand-picked fall leaves. Take a look at all the steps to make these beauties [here].

As seen on Design Sponge:

I don’t know what it’s like in your neighborhood, but when I step outside here in Oakland, I sense it right away: Fall is in the air! I’m lucky enough to have a few turning trees on my street, so I don’t miss out entirely on the brilliant autumn colors I remember from growing up in NH. Speaking of brilliant autumn colors, I’m thrilled to share this stunning maple leaf rose bouquet DIY from a fellow Kate — clay, fiber and paper artist Kate Hust.

Kate first learned how to make these a few years ago from a retired art teacher in her community, and now they’ve become an annual tradition when fall rolls around. Her instructor taught her to wrap the leaves really tight, so they looked like rose buds,  but Kate has modified the technique a bit to suit her own tastes: She likes to find the really big leaves and make them with large open “petals.” She’s clearly perfected the craft, and I’m so happy that she’s decided to pass the tradition on to us. Thanks for sharing, Kate! — Kate

A Royal Wedding for David & Andi

On the same day as the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Le Bonne Fleur Floral & Event Design was delighted to be a part of another royal affair, the wedding of David and Andi. This event had all the sophistication of its royal counterpart, but maintained a more casual, cheery atmosphere perfect for this couple. The playful, bright flower arrangements had pops of pink and orange which suited the couple’s sunny smiles perfectly. Bright peonies, garden roses, ranunculus were just a few of the florals used throughout the event.

W Scott Chester Photography captured this sweet moment of the couple together.

Andi looked stunning in front of the greenery at Cator Woolford Gardens.

The table decorations looked so chic with tons of texture and a bright pop of color!

Meet our newest intern!

My name is Janine MacKenzie, and I’m originally from the beautiful Midwestern state of Illinois. I have lived in Georgia for the past three years, studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I work in the interior design and sculpture departments. I love to work with my hands, get messy, and construct, but I also have quite a knack for making things look pretty! Besides school, I enjoy anything involving the outdoors, health and fitness, and baking. I’m so happy to be Le Bonne Fleur’s intern, and can’t wait to learn more about design, production, and business!

The Mansion on Peachtree wedding: Class, class, class

Le Bonne Fleur was thrilled to be a part of this amazing, cultural, and luxurious affair early of Spring 2011. The Mansion on Peachtree was the perfect setting for the elegant touches, vibrant centerpieces, and warm and rich candle light throughout the space. Marc Clime of Clime + Co. Photography captured this Bride and Groom’s wedding day. Jade Lee of LoveLee Affairs executed a flawless evening from start to finish.

The groom presented this rose pomander arrangement to his Bride as she was getting ready… a lovely, sweet touch.

The welcoming, muted tones and candle light made a statement at the top of venue’s grand staircase.

The ballroom’s vibrant giant, varied pink rose pomander centerpieces with submerged hot pink orchids transitioned the mood and indivdual roses at each place setting completed the table.

The Bride and Groom sat at their own private sweetheart table throughout the evening adorned with full, cascading florals of hydrangea, roses, orchids and candlelight. Completing their table, the freestanding arches of curly willow and orchids.
